Alitza Fuller – Horse Trainer | Western Washington

Alitza Fuller’s passion for horses began at age 12, when she bought her first horse in Arizona by cleaning stalls and working at a feed store to cover the costs herself. Surrounded by team ropers, rodeo horses, and guided by an Arabian trainer with a foundation in natural horsemanship, she developed a strong work ethic and a love for bringing out the best in each horse. By 17, after moving to Washington, she was teaching lessons, training horses, and running summer programs at a local hunter-jumper barn.

Since 2023, Alitza has trained under international dressage competitor Gwen Blake, and in 2024 she competed at Third Level with Valentino JRB, a Friesian stallion, qualifying for championships. Today, she specializes in the vital stage of bridging the gap between a horse’s first rides and becoming a confident, reliable partner. With an approach grounded in patience, clarity, and consistency, Alitza continues to develop both her horses and her own riding, working toward her USDF dressage medals.
Over the years, Alitza has expanded her education through clinics and lessons with respected horsemen and women, including hunter-jumper trainers Patrick Snijder and Juliana Zund, dressage and working equitation instructor Kimberlee Barker, colt starter Jose Alejos, international dressage judge Janet Foy, and the late Robert Griswold, a German three-day eventer and dressage rider. She also has extensive experience restarting off-the-track Thoroughbreds, helping them transition successfully into new careers.
